This modern worship album is the combined songwriting of Tonya Betz and Joy Russell. Serving together in worship, they found that there was a common style and tone to some of the songs they were writing. They soon began to write songs together and used them in corporate worship settings in their church. Surrounded by a handful of talented musicians, the songs came alive. It was to be only for a season though. As this time passed there was a longing to try to capture what was once taken for granted. We Cry Out is a snapshot of those times and that amazing group of worshippers.
As with any studio recording it is hard to capture what transpires in the raw worship environment. We Cry Out is simply an effort

to take those songs of worship and solidify them in a recording as a way of remembering the past, accepting the present and looking on to the future. It is a worship album, but deeper still, it is a piece of everyone who took part in the project. Unfortunately, not all the original band members were available at the time of recording, but those who stepped in did a wonderful job of just worshipping from their heart. Thanks goes out to original members Joy Russell (piano and synth) and Darren Petersen (flute and sax and arrangements). Thanks to the servants who stepped in: Craig Ostergren (electric guitar), and Carol Berubee (drums/percussion).
Songs include:
Come and Adore Him
Holy is the Lord, Most High
You Are God
We're Crying Out For You
You
We Cry Out
Lord I Come
Oh Lord
Redefine Me
Eyes Wide Open
All That I Am
Just You and Me
